Incredibly, despite looking groggy immediately after the clash, Yeo was cleared to continue playing by the independent doctors on-site.New South Wales captain James Tedesco is tackled by a pair of Maroons in the early stages of Origin I.After a tense first 15 minutes, it was Raiders star Jack Wighton who opened the scoring for Brad Fittler's side.Isaah Yeo may have been allowed to stay on the field by the doctors after his brutal clash, but that did not mean the Maroons took it easy on him.
However, it was a magical set-up by his Origin debutant teammate Selwyn Cobbo that stunned those watching. "Talk about superstars, this young guy here, the world at his feet. The world at his feet," Andrew Johns said on Nine's coverage.Jeremiah Nanai looked bright in his State of Origin debut before he was forced off the field early on in the second half.
