INKAS' Armored Mercedes S-Class Will Pamper You With Luxury And Protect You From Assault Rifles | Carscoops carscoops

flies under the radar thanks to discreet armoring that includes multi-layer bullet resistant glass as well as full “perimeter protection of the passenger compartment.”

The upgrades don’t end there as the model has been equipped with a reinforced suspension and protection for key vehicle components. The car also rides on run-flat tires as the best way to survive an attack is to escape.

Thanks to all the upgrades, the S-Class features BR6 levels of protection and this means the model can withstand simultaneous detonations of two DM51 grenades as well as assaults from attackers using 7.62 mm ammunition. While the lifesaving measures take center stage, INKAS noted the modifications haven’t impacted the S-Class’ various comfort and safety features. Another thing that’s unchanged is the car’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that develops 496 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. It’s connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system, but there’s little doubt the armoring has negatively impacted the standard model’s 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds.

The armored S-Class is available worldwide and can be shipped to all major seaports or flown airfreight upon special request.
