Back in December Sam Aston’s wife Briony told us she would “love” to have an at home water birth to welcome her second child – a daughter – into the world.She and her Coronation Street actor husband became parents to daughter Daisy Josephine on 10 May after Briony gave birth in a birthing pool in the living room of their family home in Lancashire.
“Usually, a few days after giving birth your hormones level out and you start feeling the baby blues, but this time I still feel like I’m on a high.” “The water pressure in our house isn’t the best!” laughed Sam. “I could tell Briony’s contractions were coming thick and fast, so I was called the midwife and was like, ‘Quick you need to get here now!’”
“I did want all twinkly lights and music, but then when it got to it I just wanted it to be really silent and I just had a few candles on,” explained Briony, who is the co-owner of The Happy Baby Studio. The couple are also parents to 22 month old son Sonny, who like Daisy is the spitting image of her father.
