The 142-year-old former cottage has been transformed into an impressive home in the less exotic surroundings of Sunderland - just down the road from hosts Ant and Dec.
Inside the home boasts five generously sized bedrooms with trendy open brickwork throughout. The estate agents say the decorations have been designed to mimic "an idyllic savannah in Africa or a prairie overlooking a game park". The cottage was built in 1881 and is located in the upmarket Ashbrooke Road area of Sunderland. The current owners have lived in the property for the last 13 years and in that time they have revamped the house to celebrate their international travels.
They added: "In parts of the property, you can be sitting in what might be reminiscent of a savannah in Africa or a prairie overlooking a game park.
