Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar was prepared to hide out the war in his secret bunker beneath Gaza flushed with UN food rations, thousands in cash, cologne and his own shower, Israeli officials say.

The resurfaced video from February depicts a bright and cozy living quarters for Sinwar, 61, and his guards, with a fully stocked kitchen that Israeli Defense Forces officials said would help the terrorists ride out the war decimating Gaza above ground. Israel has also accused the UNRWA being infiltrated by Hamas, allegations that the group denies despite firing nine staffers after a probe linked them to the Oct. 7 terrorist attack.
At the back of the bunker was a small room reserved for the Hamas chief, with a large safe beside his bed containing “millions” of shekels — the Israeli currency, according to the soldier.“He lives here in a good way, with all his millions, while the civilians above ground are living in poverty and are starving,” the IDF soldier said.
