Jayne Wood, a woman from Nottinghamshire, shares her weight loss journey and how she overcame challenges to improve her health and well-being.
An inspirational Nottinghamshire woman who was at "a very low point" says nothing is stopping her now that she has lost weight. Jayne Wood, 58 and from Sutton-in-Ashfield, lost seven stone in 15 months and says her granddaughters, aged eight and 10, were her "driving force" during her weight loss journey. Jayne started her successful journey with Slimming World in September 2021 "absolutely determined and focused".
She said: "Before joining Slimming World, I was at a really low point, I’d lost my dad a couple of years before and taken redundancy after 35 years in banking. "I hated the way I looked and everything was a struggle - walking up stairs, doing day-to-day household tasks, cutting my toenails. I was getting acid reflux, would get back ache in bed which meant I struggled to sleep, and getting up and out of bed was a challenge in itsel
