On November 10, 2022, Matheson was clocked by a Utah Highway Patrol Trooper doing 107 miles per hour in Millard County.
He wrote that he was stopped for speeding in Millard County by a really nice UHP officer. And that he wasn’t trying to get out of it and asked to be allowed to go to traffic school and for the prosecutor to reduce the speed to keep this from hitting his driving record and insurance. The Motion and Order from the Millard County Justice Court shows the Millard County Attorney’s Office did just that reducing it from 107 miles per hour to 102 miles per hour.traveling on a highway at a speed of 105 miles per hour or greater is considered Reckless Driving, a Class B Misdemeanor.
