Colts owner Jim Irsay believes there is merit to removing Dan Snyder as owner of the Commanders, he said at the league’s fall meeting Tuesday. 'Serious consideration has to be given to (Snyder’s) removal.'
owners have no plans to vote on Snyder’s future at this week’s meeting, The Athletic reported last week. The league and Congress have been investigating Snyder and the organization for workplace misconduct. The NFL has already levied a $10 million fine and other sanctions against him.
Renewed discussion around Snyder’s status comes after ESPN published a story last Thursday saying that Snyder recently told a close associate that he has enough information to “blow up” several NFL owners, the league office and commissioner Roger Goodell. Irsay said Tuesday that he doesn’t care if Snyder has negative information about other owners. “He can investigate me ’til the cows come home, it’s not going to back me off,” Irsay said.
