Girls state wrestling tournament begins Sunday at Phillipsburg before finishing next Saturday at Boardwalk Hall
Wrestlers compete during the pre-quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA State Wrestling Championships at Boardwalk Hall on 3/3/22.On March 4, for the first time since the onset of COVID in 2020, girls wrestlers from around the state will be competing at Boardwalk Hall in the state finals.
It won’t be a complete tournament as most of the Rothman Orthopaedic/NJSIAA Girls State Tournament will take place at Phillipsburg High School this Sunday. But while competitors will wrestle all the way to third through sixth places, the finals will be postponed for another week and will be staged prior to the boys finals in Atlantic City.
