Newly released FBI footage shows Shamsud-Din Jabbar's first-person perspective of New Orleans during a scouting trip before his New Year's Day attack on Bourbon Street. Jabbar, wearing Meta smart glasses, rammed his truck into the crowd, killing 14 and injuring dozens. The FBI believes he could have detonated remote-controlled IEDs planted throughout the tourist district, but police killed him before he could activate them. Investigators are still working to understand how Jabbar made the bombs, utilizing a rare explosive compound never before seen in US or European attacks.

Chilling video shows ISIS terrorist’s view of New Orleans though Meta glasses - as FBI says he was killed before he could use remote detonators

He was wearing the same glasses when he rammed his rented truck down the famed street and killed 14 people and wounded dozens others. Investigators are still working to uncover how Jabbar managed to make the bombs, which were built with a “very rare explosive compound” that had never before been used in a terrorist attack in the US or Europe, NBC News reported.

Jabbar rigged the explosives with makeshift remote detonators cobbled together from readily available materials, including electric matches, or “hobby switches.”He had apparently planned to activate the bombs from a transmitter in his truck, officials said.
