Former Wallabies star Israel Folau has signed on with French-based rugby league club Catalans Dragons in the Super League competition in Europe.
Folau has reportedly signed a one-year-deal with the professional rugby league club based in Perpignan, France.
Folau was controversially sacked by Rugby Australia last year after sharing a homophobic Instagram post, which eventually led to an out of court settlement. “I acknowledge the views expressed by Super League and the Rugby Football League and I look forward to my return to the great game of rugby league with the Catalans Dragons,” Folau said following the announcement of his new contract.
