Israel has reportedly launched its first “localised raids” into the Gaza Strip since Hamas’ brutal multi-front attacks last weekend, with an anticipated full-scale ground offensive now looking almost certain.
According to indications from the Israel Defence Force, some military troops were sent across the border into northern Gaza across Friday, to seek information on about 150 Israeli hostages and foreigners held captive by the militant group.

"The United Nations strongly appeals for any such order, if confirmed, to be rescinded avoiding what could transform what is already a tragedy into a calamitous situation."
