Israel said it would offer a fourth dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to the elderly and healthcare workers amid concerns over Omicron
Israel said it would offer a fourth dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to the elderly and healthcare workers, as the government urged people to get inoculated amid concerns over the Omicron variant.
The fourth shot would be administered to those over 60 years old and medical workers after at least four months have passed since the third dose, the government said late Tuesday, following a recommendation from the country’s panel of experts on the pandemic. The measure still needs formal approval from the country’s health ministry, which could take at least a few days. Senior ministry officials have publicly expressed support.
