The Israeli military claims to have killed a militant affiliated with the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel, who was allegedly employed by World Central Kitchen in Gaza. The Palestinian news agency WAFA reports that three charity workers were killed in an Israeli airstrike. The man's family denies the allegations, stating he was a dedicated engineer with no militant ties. World Central Kitchen has paused operations in Gaza pending further investigation.
The Israeli military says it has killed a militant who took part in the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks on Israel and who it says was employed by the World Central Kitchen charity in the Gaza Strip. The official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that three employees of World Central Kitchen were killed when an Israeli strike targeted a civilian vehicle in Khan Younis, in the enclave’s south.
He was a valued member of our team and loved by all who met him,” Inger Ashing, the Save the Children chief executive, said in the statement. The Israeli military rejects allegations that it deliberately targets civilians in its Gaza campaign, accusing Hamas of operating from civilian facilities and using civilians as shields, which the group denies. Overall, at least 32 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes across the enclave overnight and into Saturday, Gaza medics said.
