In-demand NRL coach Jason Ryles will fly to France to join Eddie Jones and the Wallabies for the World Cup, where he’ll take up the interim role of attack coach.
, but Ryles turned it down to return to the Melbourne Storm as the heir apparent to Craig Bellamy next year.
“But that’s cool. It is a World Cup and a great opportunity, and it doesn’t come around every day. I know what I am walking into and it’s a good opportunity for another experience and yeah, hopefully I can contribute.” Jones is notorious for being very hard on his assistant coaches, and there has been a high turnover of staff. But Ryles said he respected Jones’ coaching style and had enjoyed his time working under him.
