In that span, not once did his lap time on fading rubber balloon into the two-minute bracket; Martin had two laps in that span, Bagnaia seven.lap in the race and came on tyres well past their best; the four riders to lap faster all did those laps in the first seven laps of the race.
“He is unreal with the way he puts the throttle down though, and he’s able to ride it in a smooth, fast way. For tyre management, that’s the best thing.”
