Minimum temperatures around Mackay, Proserpine and Moranbah were at least 10C below the June average this morning. Mackay Airport, which recorded 3.4C, had its coldest June morning since 2018, and the temperature at Moranbah Airport dipped to 1.3C.Wellcamp Airport near Toowoomba was once again the coldest in the state at -1.7C.More frost is possible over the next couple of days, with a high south of the Great Australian Bight extending a cool, dry air mass across almost all of Queensland.
Temperatures should return to more normal levels early next week, once the high moves into the Tasman Sea and allows more moisture onto the east coast.
