Tyler Hollmer-Cross hopes his award for rescuing two men from an overturned boat and searching for a third assures others there are still people who 'do things without thinking twice for another human being'.
Mr Critchlow said he went straight to Mr Hollmer-Cross after the first two men were safe.
Mr Critchlow then had a turn looking under the boat before they, with the help of another friend, searched the surrounding area for about 45 minutes. "To me this award is very humbling and it makes me sit back and think that maybe we do push the limits a bit sometimes. "Each was faced with an unexpected situation and made a conscious choice, in the moment, to turn towards danger and help others."
