Thousands of Mount Gambier residents are potentially facing another night without gas supply following one of the largest outages in the city's recent memory.A timeline for reinstating the main gas supply has not been establishedThe incident is affecting more than 9,000 customers in the city including aged care homes, hotels, and dozens of businesses.Epic Energy personnel from Adelaide are on the ground in Mount Gambier to restore gas as quickly as possible.
In a statement, AGN said once gas supply was restored, natural gas appliances would need to be re-lit by a qualified gas fitter.Pfeiler Plumb 'N' Gas owner Dawn Pfeiler said they had received dozens of calls since last night. Eliza Berlage received a note from Mount Gambier's Southgate hotel explaining issues with the gas supply today.
