Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russell Myers has weighed in on the 'wild 24 hours' which followed Princess Catherine posting a photoshopped family image to social media.

“I think the biggest question from the palace is why nobody thought to have a couple of eyes on this picture and maybe say, ‘Marm, maybe we’ve had a bit too much editing on this one’,” he said. “It’s been seen tens, if not, hundreds of millions of times around the world and a litany of errors here. It’s been put together hastily by a woman who isn’t back at work, she’s trying to a nice photo out of her kids but its unfortunately backfired spectacularly tonight.
Regarding whether Princess Kate’s condition was more serious than it was made out to be, Myers reiterated the consistent message from Kensington Palace that she was recovering from planned surgery and “we weren’t going to see her until after Easter”.
