Sky News host Andrew Bolt says it cannot be denied that the ICAC hearings paint a picture of “political sleaze that should disgust any person with integrity”.
“To think how many politicians now from both sides of NSW politics have been corrupt," Mr Bolt said. "How can you keep your faith in politics in that state." Disgraced former MP Daryl Maguire faced ICAC on Wednesday as the commission investigates allegations he misused his office as an MP and parliamentary secretary to achieve financial gain.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian fronted ICAC on Monday, in which she admitted to having a close personal relationship with Mr Maguire but has since denied she did not break the ministerial code of conduct. “There was so much of this rorting going on by Maguire that you have to wonder how the Premier never twigged what her boyfriend was up to. “That's her story. Just misled, by a man she trusted. Another poor woman betrayed in love by a bad man. “Would a male premier get away with that excuse.
