In practice this meant waiting for a buzzer to tell you your order was ready to be picked up, then managing a tray of food and drinks in one hand while attempting to reopen the glass pool gate with your room key in the other. Waiter service is now available for groups that book a cabana and order one of the poolside packages, which include a bottle of champagne, cocktails, seasonal fruit platters and sunscreen.Mediterranean-style clubs are having a moment on the Gold Coast, with tanned tourists and residents swapping the beach for more refined surroundings.
The seasonal Kurrawa Beach Club at Broadbeach created a splash when it opened during peak summer months.
