Heath Davidson always aimed to retire after the French Open, but is now considering a longer career on the court heading towards Wimbledon.
Davidson finished runner-up in the men's quad wheelchair doubles alongside his new Brazilian teammate, Ymanitu Silva,"I'm pretty happy I get to take home some silverware, and my first big bit of silverware without Dyl," Davidson said.
"It's not so much tennis-wise, I guess, it's just different in the sense that I don't have my best mate hanging around all the time. With Alcott gone, Davidson had to adapt to being in the spotlight at Roland-Garros, and he now looks towards Wimbledon later in the month. As the leader on the court alongside new teammate "Mani", he's still developing his craft, even at 35 years old.
"I had my role, he had his, and I think we did that pretty well for so long. But now that I'm not playing with Dylan, I think I've become more of the captain on the court.
