'It takes a village': Tourist town turns to good grub for coronavirus solace

With 100 per cent of the bookings cancelled at his boutique business, a country chef decides to use his culinary skills to help others through the pandemic.

Program manager Sallie Harvey said that prior to the pandemic the Good Grub Club had provided the chance for a meal and a chat at the sandstone hall, owned by the Uniting Church.

More than 100 parcels are being delivered each week, to people impacted by the coronavirus — whether that be financially or socially. "People will send me a little bag of tomatoes or a producer who will bring a whole crate, local bakers, organisations [are all contributing]," she said."We are an area rich in so many producers, chefs, cafes, and we're able to connect all of those dots so that everyone feels they can contribute," Ms Harvey said.
