Jockey Alysha Collett will look to make the most her chances at Randwick after a tough month of illness and injury.
Only seven days after jockey Alysha Collett feared for her eyesight, she could, remarkably, be riding at Randwick on Saturday.
“They told me to do no exercise for the week and I should be right for Saturday, so I have taken some rides and will see the eye doctor on Friday. “It’s just frustrating because this is the time when there are chances in town, and I haven’t been able to take them because I have been sick,” Collett said. “I had been planning to be in town for about six weeks, but I have missed half of them.
Collett rode a city winner on Aemelius for Annabel Neasham last month, and she has a host of rides for the leading stable on Saturday.
