Donald Trump could win re-election if polls in key battleground states are as inaccurate as they were in 2016, according to the United State Studies Centre CEO Simon Jackman. Mr Jackman said the US Studies Centre has commissioned a study that looks at current polling in 11 key battleground states based on past polling errors. According to the findings, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has a 65.1 per cent of winning the November 3 election.

Mr Jackman told Sky News while Mr Biden is leading President Trump, there is a chance the polls are incorrect. "There is one thing that speaks well for the polls this cycle and that is the historically low number of undecided voters," he said. "Something that tricked pollsters up was the fact that this far out, about 50 days out, as many as nine to ten per cent were saying they didn't know...a lot of people couldn't make up their mind who to vote for...
