With the election just 10 days away, J.D. Vance spent his Saturday trying to consolidate votes among Ohio Republicans, while Ryan worked to try to peel them off.
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio –
DeWine and Vance have appeared together sparingly during this year’s campaign, but Saturday was the first time the Vance campaign touted the duo in advance to the news media. DeWine essentially vouched for Vance, saying he’d known him for “a long time” while emphasizing the importance of Republicans taking control of the U.S. Senate.
Roberta Cline, a longtime Republican who has voted for DeWine for years, said afterward she likes Vance, calling him a “fresh face.”But not everyone at the Vance event was a fan. Also in attendance were Dan and Judy Santee, who walked out with one of the DeWine campaign’s signature cookbooks. Both said they are committed Republicans, but both shared misgivings about Vance.“I thought J.D.
“I don’t like either candidate that’s running.
