Jack Black has cancelled his rock duo Tenacious D’s remaining Australian tour dates amid the backlash over his bandmate Kyle Gass’s joke about the attempted assassination of Donald Trump at the weekend. Gass was celebrating his 64th birthday on stage at Sydney’s International Convention Centre on Sunday night, hours after Trump was fired upon at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when Black presented him with a cake, in a video shared on TikTok.
Jack Black under fire over Tenacious D bandmate’s Trump joke. “Make a wish,” the School Of Rock star said. “Don’t miss Trump next time,” Gass replied. In a new development, Gass has also been dropped by his talent agency, Greene Talent, with rep Michael Greene telling TMZ they have parted ways due to the incident. Black condemns joke In an Instagram post on Tuesday night, Black said the tour had been called off and suggested the incident had caused a major falling out with Gass.
