The legendary trio continued the annual tradition of hitting honorary tee shots to begin The Masters.

Nicklaus, who is viewed alongside Tiger Woods as one of the two greatest players in the history of professional golf, won the Masters six times, with his final victory at the major championship coming in 1986.

Player captured three green jackets, with his final crown coming in 1978. Watson, who is one of the greatest links golf players in history, winning five Open Championships, was able to also capture a couple green jackets of his own, with his final victory at the event coming in 1981. Thursday marked Watson's third time as an honorary starter for the event, as he took over in 2022 for Arnold Palmer after he passed away. Meanwhile, Nicklaus participated as an honorary starter for the 15th time on Thursday, dating back to his first in 2010, while Player was an honorary starter for the 13th time dating back to 2012.

Here's the video, courtesy of The Masters, showing the legendary trio kicking off the first major championship of 2024: The 88th Masters Tournament begins with ceremonial tee shots from Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson.
