UF and UNF released statements Thursday confirming that they and the Jaguars have had discussions regarding the team's pending stadium renovations.

The University of North Florida confirmed Thursday that the university has had initial conversations with the Jaguars in regard to a potential short-term relocation during the team's pending stadium renovations at TIAA Bank Field.

"The University of North Florida has had initial contact from the Jaguars, and we understand the team is exploring many options. No decisions from any side have been made, and we look forward to future discussions," the university said in a statement. Any short-term stay for the Jaguars would have to occur at UNF's Hodges Stadium. The stadium currently holds a capacity of 12,000.

The news of UNF's involvement with the Jaguars and a potential short-term stay during the team's renovations comes just a day afterduring an interview on 1010XL that the Jaguars could look for a place to play while undergoing stadium renovations. He suggested the renovations could be during the 2025 and 2026 football seasons, but that has yet to be confirmed by the team.
