The scouse band have announced that they are playing Glastonbury 2024

The Farm, was originally formed in 1983 and the band went on to have their first album, Spartacus, reach the top position on the UK Albums Chart when it was released in March 1991. Before that two of their singles, Groovy Train and All Together Now, peaked in the charts in December 1990.

Lead singer Peter Hooton, guitarists Keith Mullin and Steve Grimes, bassist Carl Hunter and drummer Roy Boulter, will take to the Left Field stage at the Somerset festival this year on Sunday, June 30. They join the line-up at Left Field with Bob Vylan, Billy Bragg and Billy Nomates. This moment has been a long time coming, and we can’t wait!"

Fan and former Liverpool FC footballer Jamie Carragher is clearly looking forward to the performance, replying with the strong arm and smiling face with sunglasses on emoji. Posting the news to X, Glastonbury Festival's official account said: "With an election just months away, @GlastoLeftField returns to Glastonbury 2024 with a line-up of musicians and speakers to help recharge your activism.

This year Canadian singer Shania Twain, London-born Dua Lipa, band Coldplay and American singer SZA have been announced as acts for Glastonbury. Taking place from Wednesday, June 26 to Sunday, June 30, LCD Soundsystem, Little Simz, Burna Boy, PJ Harvey, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Kiwanuka, Janelle Monae, Keane, and Olivia Dean are also booked.
