Jamie Foxx's daughter has announced her father is 'on his way to recovery' after the Oscar-winning actor was rushed to hospital following a 'medical complication'.

"We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," she wrote on Instagram. "We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time." The statement did not provide further details about Foxx's condition or what caused the medical complication.
Reportedly, the 55-year-old's condition was serious enough that some family members traveled from out of town to be at the hospital. Foxx has recently been working in Atlanta filming his latest movie Back in Action with co-star Cameron Diaz.
