Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump told the committee she had accepted the view of former attorney-general Bill Barr that there was no fraud sufficient to overturn the election. “I told them that it was crazy stuff and they were wasting their time on that and were doing a grave disservice to the country.”Donald Trump met with retired United States Army lieutenant general Michael Flynn, attorney Sidney Powell and politician Rudy Giuliani in the White House days before the Capitol riots.

“Although certain former Trump officials have argued that they did not anticipate violence on January 6, the evidence suggests otherwise,” Cheney told the hearing. Former Attorney-General Bill Barr told Trump there was “zero basis” for the allegations, which were made “in such a sensational way that they were obviously influencing the public”.
