Emotional trainer after Via Sistina win | 01:24 Japan ’s prospects of going back-to-back in Saturday’s $10 million Golden Eagle at Rosehill were dealt a blow when the favourite Ascoli Piceno drew barrier 17.

A full field of 20 runners will face the starter this year, the sixth running of the four-year-old set weights contest over 1500m.Last year the race was won by Japanese raider Obamburumai and this year two more Japanese gallopers, Ascoli Piceno and Corazon Beat, are here to attempt to emulate Collette as the only females to have won the race.
