Jay's mum Debbie has revealed what the donations will be spent on as the search for the missing teenager continues
The family of missing teenager Jay Slater have once again opened up about their 'living nightmare', as the desperate search to find the Brit continues for its eleventh day.
So far the rescue effort to bring Jay home has seen members of the Civil Guard, fire crews and mountain rescue teams deployed to the vast and 'treacherous' area, while Jay's friends and family have also travelled to the island to assist the search. Follow live updates from the search here.And the GoFundMe page, that now hit over £36k, was the subject of much speculation online and in social media groups, with people questioning what the money would be used for.
She said: "I have every faith in them down on the ground and the amazing searches they are carrying out along with more amazing guys up there. She wrote in an update: "First, I would like to thank everyone for your support, kind messages, and good wishes. It’s difficult to wrap our heads around what is happening right now, but we are not losing hope that we will find Jay and return home together.
