Scientists have officially found the oldest swimming jellyfish in the fossil record.

The Royal Ontario Museum now holds close to 200 specimens that were used to learn more about the internal anatomy and tentacles of ancient jellyfish, with some specimens measuring more than seven inches long. Like some modern jellyfish,would also have been capable of free-swimming. Their tentacles would have helped it catch pretty big prey.
