The mayor of Reno has shared new details about what preceded Jeremy Renner's serious New Year's Day snowplow accident in the Lake Tahoe area.
Jeremy Renner, star of Marvel’s “Hawkeye” series, was airlifted to a hospital after the accident. The location was not disclosed, but his property near Lake Tahoe has been inundated by snow.
“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families,” his loved ones said Monday in a statement. “They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”
Several of Renner’s fans, co-stars and colleagues have shown their love and support for the performer on social media in the wake of the accident., fellow Marvel actor Mark Ruffalo wished his “brother” Renner a “full and speedy recovery.” “Please send healing goodness his way,” wrote Ruffalo, who stars as the Hulk opposite Renner in the “Avengers” franchise.
