On Friday airport security staff at Faro Airport will stage industrial action
Jet2 has warned passengers heading to the Algarve about industrial action that could cause delays this week.
In a statement, published on their website, Jet2 siad: "We wanted to let you know that industrial strike action is taking place on 6 October, supported by the airport security staff at Faro Airport.READ MORE: Police issue arrest update after man blasts gun four times in 'targeted' shooting "For Jet2holidays customers who have transfers booked, your pickup time is unaffected. We hope that you still have a great flight with us."
A local transport strike is planned to take place throughout the whole month in the Spanish archipelago. According to local reports, the strikes are expected to have a significant impact on tourist services in many popular areas such as Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura.
