The pilot's blood-alcohol level was more than four times the legal limit for pilots, reports say.
from the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority says a Transportation Security Administration agent noticed the pilot, James Clifton, 52, of Orlando, Florida, appeared to be impaired as he passed through security. The agent contacted the NFTA and Clifton was taken from the plane’s cockpit moments before it was scheduled to leave for Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
The NFTA says Clifton was given a breathalyzer test and that his blood-alcohol level was 0.17. Pilots are not allowed to fly if their blood-alcohol level is 0.04 or higher,
