The SBS has censored interviews with prominent international figures, like Colonel Richard Kemp, because they were too supportive of Israel.
Jewish journalist Amit Rehak weighing legal action over SBS decision not to air interview with Colonel Richard Kemp , other pro- Israel perspectives on war in Gaza
A Jewish SBS journalist, Amit Rehak, whose work was subject to censorship, is now considering legal action after resigning in August. This interview was edited to remove a section where she shared her opinion on the Israel Gaza war, saying that the state of Israel was being demonised. SBS has removed, edited or refused to run four interviews that presented Israel’s side of the war in Gaza. Picture: NCA
Presumably, Richard Kemp made similarly supportive comments of Israel - as is his right, and even duty, as a high-profile commander who has fought terrorism. The letter said the interview lacked balance and impartiality, had leading questions and lacked representation of multiple perspectives and insufficient critical follow-up.
