Ali Brigginshaw has dominated another World Cup final for Australia’s Jillaroos - and now plans to go for four titles in a row in France.
“But I enjoy my footy and I feel comfortable in this jersey. When I have the support of the coaching staff and the girls, no matter what other people say, I know that the girls believe in me and that lets me play how I want to play and enjoy my footy. On this form, she has some golden years ahead. She may not have had the perfect day with her goalkicking - making only two of her five conversions - but everything else about her distribution with boot and hand put her on another plane.
“That was unbelievable from all the girls,” she said. “We had a defence focus and I’ve never been a part of a group that can defend like that, that was something special.”
