In an interview with Sky News Australia on Tuesday, Mr Chalmers firmly said Labor won’t backtrack on the measure when asked by Peter Stefanovic.“Obviously there’ll be parts of the economy which will campaign against the change of this nature, that is inevitable and that is expected.Following the concerns raised by the retailers, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said it would provide more guidance to companies, which the Treasurer noted.
“The ACCC will provide that guidance, we’ll consult on the ongoing reasonable pricing regime and we’ve got a review of the price cap already built in at the midway point,” Mr Chalmers said. We've got a lot coming at us from around the world but we've also got a lot going for us here at home.
