Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s partner made a slight error when posing for a photo with the presidential couple ahead of a glitzy banquet being held at the White House in Australia’s honour on Wednesday.
Jodie Haydon joined the Prime Minister on his four-day trip to the United States, which is aimed at strengthening the longstanding alliance between the two nations.
Ms Haydon, wearing a navy suit with gold buttons, moved to pose for pictures next to Dr Biden, who swiftly ushered her to stand next to Mr Albanese instead. The four then enjoyed a private dinner in the Green Room where they were served the classic Italian dish cacio e pepe, roasted halibut and poached pear with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert.
