President Joe Biden has experienced an embarrassing misstep after tripping and falling on stage at a US Air Force graduation ceremony.

The incident occurred at a Colorado Air Force Academy on Thursday, where the 80-year-old President delivered remarks and handed out diplomas to recent graduates.

He caught himself with his hands and then got up on one knee with the assistance of three other people, including one man clad in an Air Force uniform. He continued with his day as per usual after the incident, making a show of running up the stairs of his jet when leaving Colorado just a few hours later.

White House communications staff appeared to brush off the incident on social media when quizzed by users.
