Constable John Haggan, 33, was shot while out with his pregnant wife in north Belfast in 1994.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland has issued a fresh appeal over the murder of police officer John Haggan 30 years ago.
Police said he was approached from behind by two gunmen while in the members bar and shot in the head from close range. The PSNI believes that the gunmen made their escape in a gold coloured Seat Ibiza car, VRM NXI 7341 that was driven by a third accomplice.That car had been hijacked shortly before 20:00 GMT from Stratford Gardens in the Ardoyne area and was found in Chichester Court by a local police patrol just before 23.30."This was a sickening attack on a family man who was out socialising with his wife and friends," Det Ch Insp Byrne from Legacy Investigation Branch said.
