Former Prime Minister John Howard was not “honest with the public” when campaigning for the Morrison government at the last election, says Sky News host Chris Smith.
Mr Howard has since written a book, in which he is critical of Mr Morrison’s political management and several Liberal Party policies.“I have great respect for John Howard, but there’s something inherently disappointing with volunteering to campaign for your Party,” Mr Smith said.
“And say all kinds of complimentary things about that government, to then write a book and bag that same government. “He told us the Morrison Government was worth reinstating … but the truth was he felt strongly that the Libs had mishandled issues.”
