The Scotland boss had to cut two members of his squad for the tournament before Friday's deadline.
National boss Steve Clarke had to leave out two before Friday night's pre-tournament deadline with the friendly clash with Finland at Hampden set to be the final send-off from the Tartan Army before the opening fixture with Germany. Boss Clarke has opted to take five centre-back options in Liam Cooper, Jack Hendry, Grant Hanley, Scott McKenna and Ryan Porteous.
Record Sport also understands that Craig Gordon is to miss out. Clarke had named four keepers for the friendly in Gibraltar but is only going to take three to the tournament - with Angus Gunn, Zander Clark and Liam Kelly being named over Hearts veteran Gordon. The 41-year-old - who faced an injury-plagued campaign at Tynecastle.
It means that late additions Lewis Morgan and Tommy Conway will be going to the tournament. New York Red Bulls star Morgan and Bristol City man Conway were drafted in to replace injured Ben Doak and Lyndon Dykes.
