John Wick: Chapter 4 doesn't have a subtitle, despite John Wick: Chapter 3 being subtitled parabellum - but there is seemingly a reason behind this.
Unlike its predecessor, John Wick: Chapter 4 doesn't have a subtitle, but that's because it was dropped after an actor leaked it. The John Wick series is almost as bad as the Fast & Furious franchise when it comes to how ununiform its movie titles are. Following John Wick, the sequel had "Chapter 2" tagged onto it, then the threequel had the additional subtitle "Parabellum," and now, the series is back to simply being subtitle-less chapters.
John Wick 4 Originally Had The Subtitle “Hagakure” Shamier Anderson, who plays Mr. Nobody in the fourquel, let the cat out of the bag when production on the movie wrapped. The actor uploaded an image of a wrap gift, which is usually handed out to the cast and crew when a movie's principal photography wraps. The wrap gift was a bag with the title John Wick 4: Hagakure emblazoned onto it, effectively leaking the movie's title when it hadn't been officially announced.
