Nottingham Forest midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has said that it was "mad" to play against Newcastle United just months after leaving the club.
One of those appearances came against Newcastle. Shelvey played 94 minutes of a 2-1 defeat at the City Ground. "It was a bit mad to be fair," he told ChronicleLive. "I looked across during the warm-up and I knew it off by heart because I had done it so many times and it just felt a bit weird, but it was a nice moment to play against your mates and the supporters.
