Jordan Hancock returned an interception 93 yards for a touchdown to put Ohio State ahead of Rutgers in the second half.
On Ohio State's first defensive possession of the second half, Rutgers quarterback Gavin Wimsatt drove the Scarlet Knights into the Buckeyes' side of the field. Then, on 2nd-and-7 from the Ohio State 20-yard line, Wimsatt lobbed a pass over the middle. Josh Proctor and Jordan Hancock were in perfect position – the former deflecting the pass, the latter securing an interception.
